The use of different metals adds color to the design and surface of the earrings and pendants.  The earrings move freely and reflect light from all angles.  The visual impression of the earring is of liquid silver.

Each talisman is cast in cuttlefish bone using an alloy of seven metals.  Seven is a perfect number and a prime number.  Amulets and talismans made of a seven metal alloy are highly prized.

There are considerable difficulties in identifying seven metals that can be melted together to form a homogeneous body without porosity or cracks.  The alloying process itself requires high temperatures, above 1200°C, and the precise positioning of the seven metals in the crucible.

Archaic images are the inspiration for these rings, pendants, bracelets and sculptures.  The rings and pendants are sculpture to be worn.

The discovery of the existence of jewelry ornaments for knitted and crocheted garments has been a pleasant surprise for me.  Shawl fasteners and pins are definitely a line of jewelry that I am interested in producing.
